At TWiCE, we’ve talked a lot about why we want to improve people’s access to financial education, and build up their financial knowledge. We’ve mentioned many times that with more knowledge comes smarter decision-making, and better results for everyone. So how exactly do you go about actually learning and becoming money wise?
Fortunately with the internet, you’ve got access to all the information the world has to offer, but finding what’s right for you is the fiddly part. When it comes to basic terms a Google search doesn’t hurt, but when it comes to more specific information and how it can affect or influence your life and finances, that is where sometimes you might need a hand. There’s a whole range of ways you can get that second opinion or helping hand, both professional and non-professional. Chatting with those close to you is always something worth considering; even it’s just for some support with the challenges you might be facing.
For some more heavy-duty help you might want to consider some people or groups that have a little more industry knowledge. That’s where TWiCE is looking to get involved in the community and provide specific and catered info and support for everyone. We are looking to open up discussions and forums with everyone in the community about their finances, including talking through challenges and how we can overcome them together, while instilling healthy financial habits.
TWiCE is also looking to open up some workshops and classes in the community itself, so you can meet some of our expert members and get some first-hand help and support. We cater our workshops and classes specifically for the people and the place that we’re in, so we can provide the right information for the right people. Another option might be to get your whole workplace involved, we have a range of workshops we can run in a working day with you, your colleagues, and your employer.
We’re also providing options for people who don’t have the time to make it in person. TWiCE can signpost you to a wide range of courses and help available online, covering all sorts of topics to do with your personal finances and figuring out how to get ahead. We’ve got reading material for those who are after it, but what sets TWiCE apart is that we like to boil down a lot of that info and jargon into a short video. When you’ve got something to watch and listen, often times it’s much easier to remember than just staring at lines of text. If you’re keen to find out a bit more about how TWiCE can help you, or someone you know out, give us a look here.
